Definition:  The following information presents the educational attainment for the population aged 25 and older. 

Significance: Educational attainment is important for economic development as the economy has become more knowledge based. Educational attainment is also important for how citizens deal with complex day-to-day issues, such as technology and medical care.

 

ANALYSIS, Educational Attainment for the Population 25 and Over

Data reflect the percentage the educational attainment characteristics of the population in South Carolina (SC), the United States (US), and the Southeast (SE).  The southeast region consists of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
