Korey
holds her Ph.D. in Theatre and Performance Studies from the
University
of
Maryland. She
earned an M.A. degree in Theatre History and Criticism
from
the University of Maryland and a M.Ed. degree in Secondary
English
Education
and a B.A. degree in English from the University of Florida.
Korey
has taught classes in Communications, Public Speaking, and
Theatre
History
at the University of Florida, the University of Maryland, and
American
University. She
is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor of
Theatre
History at the University of Maryland.
Korey
has been associated with the Washington Semester Program since
2003,
teaching
the Theatre Appreciation class.
In the summer of 2005, she was
named
the academic director of the Washington Semester Program. Korey has
lived
in the Washington, D.C. area for the past nine years and has
extensive
knowledge
of the numerous opportunities for enrichment that await the
students
participating in the Washington Semester Program.
