Purpose

The Leadership Academy is designed specifically to meet the ongoing professional management and leadership development needs of the South Carolina Association of County-Wide Elected Executives (SCACEE) membership. The Academy is conducted by the University of South Carolina’s Institute for Public Service and Policy Research (IPSPR) for SCACEE. The curriculum includes twelve 2.5 hour courses for a total of thirty hours of instruction. Participants who complete all thirty hours of instruction will receive a certificate of completion.

It is important for participants to note that the courses offered in this program are designed to compliment other training available to SCACEE members such as the Institute of Government for County Officials and the Academy for County Auditors, Treasures and Tax Collectors. Courses offered as a part of this program cannot be substituted for or counted toward completion requirements of any other program.
